Lincoln - In Color

A guy in a Civil War group on Facebook posted this and I agree with what he said - that this colorized versions gives you a very different perspective on the President... Very well done job...

Phidippides:
Lincoln looks rather unkempt in that photo.  He was 56 when he died, and the photo above makes him look 20 years beyond that (adding color - the redness around his eyes - makes him appear more sickly).  Perhaps it was due to the illness which scholars debate he had.  Then again, look at this more stately photo of him:

I thin he looks pretty old in the B&W photos.  It is obvious that the job of president during the Civil War aged him and weighed rather heavily on him as well.  He definitely belongs among the top of the list of best statesmen ever.
