Expedition to recover $800 million worth of art

Initial reports say that previously unknown underground bunkers not far from Dresden may the the spots where the Nazis were holding some $800 worth of stolen art.  It may include works from some of the most famous artists in the world, such as Manet, Monet, and Cezanne.

Odd that I have not heard of this.  I live less than 1 1/2 hours from Dresden and nothing has been on the news or in the papers over here.  The Germans are usually ll over old Nazi stuff when it comes out.

Incidentally, downtown Dusseldorf was closed a few weeks for an entire afternoon while they defused a WWII bomb found during new construction.
