I watched the Documentary on the raising of the Hunley, it was really good. Clive cussler discovered it. He talks about it in The Sea Hunters.
Oh ok I didn't realize that it was Clive Cussler's group that discovered it. From what I have heard his life-imitates-art plan is actually producing some good results. It's called NUMA after the NUMA from his fictional books, right?
