Interesting exhibition on how medical treatments have improved over the past 100 yearsFor wounded WWI soldiers, treatment in the trenches could mean just being offered a hot drink and a lie-down.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-19914850
Interesting piece, but it lacks any type of detail whatsoever. We called the first 60 minutes after a guy was wounded "the golden hour" and it is the time that makes the difference between life and death fro a severely wounded soldier. A friend of mine was severely wounded twice and both times he was at the hospital within 30 minutes of being wounded. That made the difference for him. The second time he lost a leg and died four times on the table but they were able to bring him back because h was at a fully equipped hospital in Balad.
