Interesting article on an English historian who reacts again feminist methodology in the study of Henry VIII.

[Dr Starkey] said: “If you are to do a proper history of Europe before the last five minutes, it is a history of white males because they were the power players, and to pretend anything else is to falsify.”…Dr Starkey insisted: “I'm not joining forces with Fathers for Justice, it is simply saying that our new world has its own set of prejudices, its set of distinctive lenses, and we need to be aware of them.”

The article is worth a read…not often you find people call it like it is and cut through all the crap that the modern age has dumped on the study of history.History has been 'feminised' says David Starkey as he launches Henry VIII series

Contemporary Historical scholarship is post-modern in view and intent.  I am surprised a guy like this gets a forum and can publish.  The twisting of history is not new, it has been going on for the last 40 years.

I know this is off topic somewhat, but after reading this, I have more of an appreciation for women historians who tell it (and accept it) like it is without “women's libbing” it.  There are a few.

???What is making you think this?  It was my reading that he was doing just the opposite in taking a more classical approach in view and intent to history and snubbing the feminist theory researchers.

He is not post-modern, that is why I am surprised.  Classical historical outlooks are so twentieth century.

Oh, I get it.  I misunderstood the way you phrased things in your post, especially in the second sentence.
