    Whigs. Tories were connected with James the Pretender and the other side….

    Whigs.  This was the “Hanoverian Succession” around the time the Whigs were separating themselves from the Tories and Jacobites (the Jacobites could also have been on the list) around 1715.  The Whigs would basically control the government for many decades.

    Whigs,  The Whigs were the traditional Monarchist party in England.
