The Bad Opinion Generator from The Week magazines site.  This hilarious java applet generates historical predictions from the past that have turned out to be not just wrong but 180 degrees from what eventually came to pass.  It is sometimes amazing to read these opinions in light of what has come to happen.  If nothing else, these quotes prove that predicting the future is fraught with peril as the future tends to do its own thing.

Here is one I got:”Housewives in 50 years may wash dirty dishes right down the drain. Cheap plastic [will] melt in hot water.” – Popular Mechanics, 1950Actually this is a pretty good idea, so long as you can get around the inevitability of the dishes melting with hot food.

    Here's what I got:

“Of all the nations, [Germany] is probably the least corrupted by the lust of conquest….”Boston Daily Globe, 1901

I played with it for about 15 minutes yesterday and some of the best ones I saw were predictions by Einstein and Fermi that Nuclear power was infeasible.
