I would imagine if you have credible evidence, you could take that to a museum or interested historian and if they think it a likely chance they would gladly pony up the money for the unit to clear the mystery up if nothing else. It is certain that "missing diary pages" have been fodder for conspiracy theorists for years and movies like National Treasure have only stirred the pot.It would all depend on the strength of your evidence though. Any reputable museum curator or archaeologist would be more than happy to give attribution to the person that led to a find of the potential magnitude this has.
