I have now made it possible for anyone – members and guest to the forum included – to suggest links for inclusion in the WCF's directory of links to good history sites.  You can visit this directory page by clicking on the “LINKS” button on the horizontal bar in the page header.  We are looking for links to good history sites on any topic relating to Western Civ – ancient, modern, it doesn't matter.  Preferred are those sites which are interesting and ones that you might bookmark for yourself.  If you can't find a category to place your link in, add it to the General History area and the moderators will put it in the right place.Except for high ranking members (those who have attained the rank of Tribune or higher), any link that is submitted by guests or lower-ranked members must be approved by a moderator before it will be added to the site.

Sure, no problem.  1) Click on the LINKS button so you get to the LINKS area.  2) You'll see a page that says LINKS and various categories of history and how many sites are listed so far in that category (e.g. “Ancient History – Total Links: 3”).  Click on a category name (such as “Ancient History”)3) You'll be brought to a page of links to different sites.  Scroll down and at the bottom you will see a section called “Links Directory Panel”.  Directly underneath this is the “Add Link” button, which you click.4) In the next page, type in a site title, the url of the site, and a description of the site (i.e. why you like it, what it has to offer, etc).  Click the “Add Link” button at bottom to finish. Is this good, or are there more questions?

I recently added a link in the General History area for a good site on “Underwater Archaeology”.  Check it out sometime and rate it.  If you've been on any archaeological dives in the past, I'd like to hear about it.
