Fully agree with these two.  Must add the first Planet of the Apes.  A masterpiece!

I like Star Trek Generations where Picard and Kirk meet in the Nexus (I know it doesn't quite fit the criteria here but I had to hijack this thread with Star Trek somehow). 🙂

I have to go with Phid here and say the original “Time Machine”.  The remake just doesnt do it justice.Honorable mention goes to:1. Time Bandits- Just Hilarious2. The Philadelphia Experiment- Good story3. Bill & Ted's Most Excellent Adventure- Another Hilarious one4. When Peggy Sue Got Married- Good Movie5. The Final Countdown-  Wouldnt the Japanes have been surprised?

I don't know how many of you watch Lost, but since they're traveling back in time now to 1974 it kind of qualifies as historical entertainment.  ;D
