    Alright, you know the rules (i.e. no searching for this on the internet!).  Tell me which famous historical figure is reported to have said the following:

    Amnesty, Sir, applies to criminals. We have committed no crime. At your door lies all the misery and crime of this war … We are fighting for Independence?and that, or extermination, we will have

    I thought it would be too easy, but that's only because I knew the answer when writing the quotation.  Maybe it is tricky after all.Let's see if Donnie is able to guess it if he swings by here….

    Thank you for this query, but I must confess, I have no idea.  Grand words, spoken as a true relvolutionary individul would.  Anywhere.  Could it possibly have been one of our own?  Proud, indeed, I would be of him.
