This is remarkable and sad at the same time.Body of WWII airman found dangling from a tree

The suspected remains of a Second World War airman have been found dangling from a tree in the dense jungles of Papua New Guinea.

I think that MIAs are difficult on families, but I imagine that after all these years it may still be a relief for a family to find this news – if they can find the family that the person belongs to.

Wow… hard to imagine that the harness material hasn't rotted over the years.  I guess it's as much the vines and creepers holding everything together.Regardless of circumstances, I'm glad this warrior will finally be put to rest.

If confirmed, this is a remarkable find.  I know that if my relative were missing from WWII, I would want the closure when the body was found.  Every warrior deserves a decent burial regardless of which side he fought for.

Has it been determined what his nationality was?
