Any of you watch “The Librarian” starring Noah Wylie and Bob Newhart?  It's on TNT.  Wylie – a brilliant 30-something who has enough PhDs and Masters degrees to spare – joins a library staff at what is apparently the NY Library, though his job goes beyond his expectations.  On the first day of his job he's brought to the secret basement of the building where his boss, Newhart, shows him a lot of artifacts thought only to be in legends.  Of course the show wouldn't be complete without some baddies, so the episodes have Wylie being sent around the globe to recover lost artifacts before the other guys can.  I only caught a few of the shows for the first time this past weekend, but it appears that it's been on the air for some time.

I guess I'm a little behind the times then…!  In the first episode I saw – the pilot episode – they were searching for the Spear of Destiny.  In another episode they were looking for King Solomon's Mines. I think it's a cross between Indiana Jones and MacGyver, but without the novel inventions in each episode.

I think this one was The Librarian 2.  I saw the first movie, but missed this one.  It was ok,  but Noah Wyle is no Harrison Ford.  It was a series?  I need to pay attention more.  😛

I wonder if it's just a series of movies?
