Alright folks, I would like to see more members signing up here.  So….ideas as to how to do this?I have the site on Google Base (kind of like a want ad) but I could possibly put something on Craigslist as well.  Do you think that's a good idea?  In the past I have done post exchanges with other forums wherein I post on their forums and they post on mine.  It doesn't lead to long-term exchanges but it is good to bring in different views, which in turn may bring in additional visitors.  So, any other ideas?

I actually did have an Adsense/Adwords campaign early on and I really got nowhere with it, and I could see how it would cost too much money.  But yeah, a Youtube video on how to write an essay for a history question or something like that might be good. Heck, I should have you, Donnie, film yourself and send in over to me.  I'll post that for sure, eh?  ;DI haven't used linkreferral before.  I may have to check it out.

Just posted an invite message in the history discussion board section at school.  Worse that can happen is they'll remove it if they find it inappropriate…which they shouldn't.Let's see what happens.

Good, thanks for doing that.  I posted something over on Craigslist as well yesterday.

Content people…content.  If you want people to find you, you must have content.  Start writing longer posts.

Don, your post reads similar to my history prof's comments on my essays…”great essay, just expand your writing”…lol…I'm so use to writing business letters that to expand my writing style is difficult. I need to work on this desperately.

Well I haven't started many topics here, and I know I should…and I will from now on.  I usually wait for you guys to post something, and if it is something I know a little bit about, I'll respond and usually with search engine optimization in mind (like dropping names, concepts, ideas, themes, and other things I know History students will be searching for).

I was kind of out of the loop when this was posted. Did anything viable come along? I wish I could be more help but when it comes to the running of a forum I know next to nothing.

I don't know if there was any direct correlation but you can see on the stats page that there was a notable increase in posts per month starting in May of this year.
