    Was Jamestown the first English town on American continent?

    I'd like to see an accurate and detailed movie about the founding of Jamestowne and the trials they went through.

    I guess that would look like “The Tudors”… 😉

    I don't watch TV at all, so I don't even know what that is… Outside of knowing who the Tudor's were…

    Was Jamestown the first English town on American continent?

    Jamestown was the first permanent English town, but there was an attempt to colonize Roanoke earlier, which had the first English child born in North America named Virginia Dare. Many theories exist about what happened to them. Murdered by Indians, death by starvation, sudden hurricane, etc.

    Looks cool.  I bet it would fall under the “sci-fi” genre rather than the “western” genre.

    I’d like to see an accurate and detailed movie about the founding of Jamestowne and the trials they went through.

    Not exactly a movie, but there is a TV series on Jamestown that on PBS.  I watched the first season.  Doesn’t focus on history per se as much as the local drama that went on in 1619.
