basicially WWI up to the end of Vietnam. Very interesting times in US society, from the Wright Flyer to the Apollo 11, from Temperance to Free Love. And everything in between ;D

Greetings, Blizzard!  Those are some of my favorite time periods as well.  Sometimes it's difficult to choose just one….there are stories from many different ages which are very interesting, inspiring, and worthy of further investigation.

Hello everyone, brand new to this forum, looking foward to some intresting conversations…..as for me Ancient Rome is completely crazy, but I think The French Revolution and World War 1 are completly fascinating…

And hello KidTurbo!  Yes, the French Revolution is fascinating on a number of levels, not the least because it seems to have been the first thoroughly “modernist” event in the history the West.  We've been discussing it in general in this thread, if you'd like to join the conversation….

I enjoy European History especially the Renaissance to late 19th century and American History from the formation of the early Republic to post WWII. I also enjoy studies of ancient Greece and Rome.

When I was a History major the 19th century — most of the 20th was a current event for me.  ;DI read all eras and epochs with interest now. At the moment I am deep into the 9th century. previously it was the 17th.

For me it is the period in America from the early 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century with a specific focus on the Civil War.But to be quite frank, I find the majority of history, related to military affairs highly interesting…

I love Ancient History, but I also love American, and I have to because that's my area now.  I wish I could become more interested in South American/Andean History and Chinese, but it's just not the same for some reason.
