I found this thing while looking through sites about both Medieval and more recent catapult machines for entertainment use. Look at what the Middle ages has brought to invade our very office meetings:http://www.backyardartillery.com/watch/

Actually that site has a number of other catapult kits….it's rather amazing what kind of technology was in existence during the Middle Ages. The Wiki article doesn't mention when the trebuchet was first used, but I wonder if it was developed during the Dark Ages.
