A new book is out with an alternative take on the Shroud of Turin.Mystery solved? Turin Shroud linked to Resurrection of ChristIt seems that the author's basic take is that the Shroud - which he believes is dated to the time of Christ - was what the disciples actually saw, rather than the Resurrected Christ. The theory seems rather unconvincing to me, but what is interesting is that the author, who is an agnostic, has taken pains to examine the evidence from modern scientific and scholarly sources and rejects the notion that it is a medieval forgery.
