Ok, I actually answered this in another thread but I figured I'd put it by itself as a poll. Answer first then find my other message and see if you are correct.
Is Cornwall a country, or a part of England? It has its own flag.

I guess I'm not one of the “usual suspects” (at least not yet ;D) — although I concentrated my BA in History on British history, that was 24 years ago!
Ok then, can anyone tack on the other places that made up the British Empire?

Australia, India, America, and mst of sub-Saharan Africa leap immediately to mind. As well as extensive Island posessions in all the world's oceans.

I'm going to take a guess and say none of China. (unless you want to say they "controlled" China with opium)
